General:
Microsoft Windows® 98, 98 SE, NT 4.0 with Service Pack 6, ME, 2000 and XP
DV support requires Windows® 98 SE, 2000 or higher version
Intel® Pentium® with MMX® compatible system (Pentium 4 recommended)
64MB RAM (128 or higher recommended)
20MB of available hard disk space required for installing (4GB or higher recommended)
True color or high color display adaptor
Mouse or windows compatible pointing device
Windows® compatible sound card with speakers

Video capture and export:
import-export to DV camcorders requires OHCI compliant FireWire® (IEEE1394) card
capture and export to analog cameras and VCRs reuires video capture board with VideoForWindows or WDM drivers

DirectX:
The latest version of DirectX is recommended (now it is DirectX is 8.1).
Video Man is based on DirectShow (earlier part of DirectX Media , now part
of DirectX beginning from DirectX 8). DirectShow is an open architecture,
which means that it can support any format as long as there are filters to parse
and decode it. The filters provided by Microsoft, either as redistributables
through DirectShow or as Windows operating system components, provide
support for the following file and compression formats.

File formats:
Audio-Video Interleaved (AVI),
Motion Picture Experts Group,
QuickTime (version 2 and lower for reading only).

Digital Video (DV)
MPEG-1(for reading)
MJPEG
Indeo
Cinepak
and more

Note: DirectShow runtime does not provide an MPEG-2 codec, but Several DirectShow-compatible hardware and software MPEG-2 decoders are
available from third parties
