How
to export an image or frame from the middle of the morph? |
| A: |
|
- Click Ctrl-Enter to open Output Options dialog and set length of transition
(e.g. 10), that is how many frames will be in morphing sequence
- Click Save Options tab and choose Range of frames to be generated
(e.g. from 5 to 5 to generate only frame number 5).
- Then after your project is ready use menu File-Create-Sequence command to save range of frames to image files (such as bmp, tif, jpeg, etc.)
-
Note: you can alsways preview choosen frame in preview window.

Can I morph multiple images, one to the next? In other words morph from
image1 to image2 to image3 to image4 to image5 etc.? |
| A: |
|
1.
Open image1 as source and image2 as target
2. Place markers and define output options (such as number of frames and frame size) as necessary
3. Save project as porject1.mpj
4. Run menu
Markers-[More]-Swap. This will bring image2 with markers you already have set to
Source window
5. Run File-Target-Load Image and load image3
6. Adjust marker positions on target
7. Save project as porject2.mpj
Repeat steps 4-7 as necessary
8. Run File-Render* and choose all project1.mpj, project2.mpj ... you created - they will be rendered to single output movie or image sequence
versions: 4.0, 2000
* note: File-Render command and render to Flash is available in v.4.0
only. You can render multiple mpj projects with version 2000 using batch
render mode described in online help.

How
I can use morphing created on PC in non linear video editing software on my
Mac? |
| A: |
|
MorphMan can output morphs to image file sequences (like img001.tga, img002.tga - in various formats)
which can be loaded to NLE on various platforms.
If you need a 5 sec
morphing clip to be inserted in 30 fps movie, prepare morphing sequence of
5x30=150 frames (legth of transition is set using Output Options dialog)
Note that MorphMan 4.0 comes bundled with a video editor VideoMan 3.0
which can be used for compositing final video.

How
can I export interlaced video for display on TV? |
| A: |
|
Use
Interleave parameter on Output Options dialog. Set to None for display on
computer monitor and to Odd or Even for output to TV with Upper or Lower
Field First interlacing.

| Q: |
|
How
to change the morph time and/or pause the morphing between photos? |
| A: |
|
Overall
duration of transition is defined by Length (in frames) and Frames per
second parameters set using Output Options (Ctrl-Enter) dialog. Duration
(sec) = Length (frames) x fps
Rate of transofrmation
at any moment of the morphing sequence can be controlled by Distortion
(Ctrl-D) and Transparency (Ctrl-T) curves which define the dynamics of
geometrical and color transition from source to target.

AVI
file made with MorphMan does not play in MediaPlayer or is corrupted. What
is wrong? |
| A: |
|
Try
using different codec with Compression button on Save Options
dialog. Codecs are video compression encoders installed in your Windows
system, they are not part of MorphMan, but MorphMan uses them to encode
output movie in AVI format.
Sometimes these codecs do not
work properly or do not support parameters of your morphing sequence. For example, Indeo Video 5.10 codec will only work for frame sizes which are
multiplies of 8, some MPEG codecs will only work with 4:3 frame aspect ratio. To overpass the problem try choosing
simple codecs such as Cinepak, or Microsoft Video 1, or Windows Uncompressed.
