PM Stitch Creator 2.0 FAQ

Q: How to print pattern large enough to read. Blocks are too small in printed pattern?
A:
  • Click Print Setup button on Finish screen - it allows to choose multiple pages to print graph over - from one page to 10x10 page. The more pages you select, the bigger size of single stitch you will get. You can try to select different settings, and you will see on the dialog the approximate size of stitch block (single stitch) in centimeters or inches. Once you are satisfied, click OK and go to Print.
Q: how do I get the colors of floss to match the picture?
A:
  • In Settings screen click Colors, choose brand, set maximum number of colors (make it higher to guarantee better match, say 100)
  • click For Picture button - it will choose colors which better represent original photo colors. You will see colors that program has chosen for your picture - you can easily remove any obviously mismatching colors (click color and then 'Remove')

  • Additionally, to improve matching of skin tone use Filter-More Contrast on Picture screen to enhance photo contrast before converting it to stitch pattern.

Note: other settings like Canvas color, Background color, and Options-Brightness parameter (default value 100) may also affect color match.
Q: How to substitute color
A:
  • Go to Stitch screen (press Stitch on left toolbar)
  • Click on color picker on left toolbar and choose new color (e.g. brown which you want to use instead of blue)
  • Click Fill button on top toolbar and choose Change thread
  • Click any stitch of the color you want to substitute (e.g. blue). All blue stitches will be substituted with new color
